After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in French and German, Lara attended law school and qualified as a solicitor in the UK with a leading global law firm called Dentons LLP.

After leaving the law in 2004, Lara became an entrepreneur and set up a successful designer kitchen company before moving to Hong Kong with her family in 2011. There, she reinvented herself as a business development professional working for various international firms. Lara has been the Head of Business Development, Asia Pacific for Duane Morris & Selvam LLP for the past five years.
